Instead of passing the ball, Tsubasa slides with the ball just like Diaz. Pascal tries to stop him, but Tsubasa passes to ball to Misaki. Misaki dribbles an opponent and then sends the ball back to Tsubasa, who is now cartwheeling like Diaz did to do what appears to be bicycle kick. As Galvan is about to block the shot, Tsubasa instead uses both his legs to stop the ball, bounce with hit and do a bicycle pass as Galtoni tries to stop him.40"Adios" (アディオス)Grand Jump #18 (2016)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (40)#2016-09-072016-08-17Thanks to Tsubasa play, Misaki easily score with a diving header, reversing the score with just few minutes to play. While Argentina team is crestfallen, Diaz realizes that Tsubasa copied him in such a situation only because it was fun, the same reason why he and Pascal used to create techniques as kids. Diaz admits his defeat as he wasn't playing to enjoy football like Tsubasa did. Japan ends up winning the match which means, Roberto, Santana and Natureza won the bet. Tsubasa thanks Camp Nou, his favorite stadium, and says goodbye to it for the moment.41"Warriors' celebration" (戦士たちの祭典)Grand Jump #23 (2016)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (41)#2016-11-162016-11-02Several events at the Madrid Olympics have taken place and Japan has won some medals already. In the last match of the group, Japan football team is leading over Nigeria 2-0. Sawada substitutes Aoi and tells Tsubasa of the new directives by coach Kira. Kanda Koshi, Tsubasa's former love rival, gets ready for his match as he reflects his rivalry with Tsubasa and hopes to achieve a similar dream in the world of boxing. Meanwhile, the Japanese softball team watches the powerful American team. The coach decides to use Maki Akamine as the starting pitcher against the American team in the group stage. Back in the football match, Matsuyama and Tsubasa are playing as defensive midfielders while Sawada works as the playmaker. Sawada connects with Hyuga and the latter scores the third goal, securing Japan's victory.42"The Emperor's humiliation" (皇帝の屈辱)Grand Jump #24 (2016)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (42)#2016-12-072016-11-16With Japan victory over Nigeria and Argentina's over Netherlands in group C, the attention is in the last match of group D between Brazil and Germany. Both already qualified, the result will determine Japan's next opponent. Outside the Riazor stadium, several fans flock towards Tsubasa to ask for his autograph, something that doesn't occur with the other Japanese players, even those in Europe, something that makes them realize that is closer to achieving his dream of being the best worldwide. When they check the line-up they notice that Brazil will not play with Santana, Natureza and Rivaul, meaning that the match will depend in German's attitude. The Germans all remember the humiliation they faced against Brazil during the World Youth due to the injuries of Muller and Schneider at the time. This time, Germany plans to play with their full strength to return the favor.43"Bullet of fire" (炎の砲弾)Grand Jump #1 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (43)#2017-01-012016-12-07As soon as the match starts, Schneider starts dribbling players, even blowing away Leo. These surprises the Brazilians who were expecting a friendly match since neither team needed to win. When faced with Radunga, Schneider appears to slow down the game by passing the ball bak, but it's instead the start of a fast attack with Katlz and Teigerbran. Teigerbran centers the ball and Margus feints going for it. Schneider also dodges his opponent and quickly score with a jumping volley with his left leg. Despite that, Brazil doesn't try to equalize as their aim is to preserve their best stamina for the next game. Germany, however, has a different plan. Kaltz steals the ball makes aplay with Schester, who passes the ball to Margus. Margus quickly does a one-touch toward Schneider scores again with a Fire Shot.44"The proud challenge" (誇り高き挑戦)Grand Jump #2 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (44)#2017-01-102016-12-21After the second goal, Schneider points his finger towards the Brazilian bench, challenging them to play against Germany at full force. Santana and Natureza react to this by warming up. In the next offensive, Brazil barely manages to stop it by conceding a corner kick. But Teigerbran and the rest of Germany have already prepared a play and Schneider scores once again, this time with a diving header, achieving a hat-trick in the first half. During half-time, coach Aragones leave up to the player whether they want to go for the win at full strength or not. Some players like Pepe want to win, but others like Robecaro remind them that what they are looking for is the gold medal so they should try to preserve their resources for the next game. They decide to leave up the decision to their captain Rivaul.45"Wall of steel" (鋼鉄の壁)Grand Jump #3 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (45)#2017-01-182017-01-05For the second half, Natureza and Santana enter the game. Rivaul has decided that Brazil will aim to win the match at full strength. Natureza and Santana dribble an pass in combination, like Japan's Golden Duo, which Roberto refers as "Santanatureza", the Brazilian golden combination. When the German defense appears to block Natureza, this instead turns out to be Natureza's deception to lure and free Santana. Natureza heads the ball towards Santana who executes a Jumping Arrow Shot. Surprisingly, though, Muller catches the ball with ease with one hand.46"The Brazilian ambush" (ブラジルの伏兵)Grand Jump #4 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (46)#2017-02-012017-01-18With the Steel Giant guarding the goal, the Brazilians decide that long and middle shooting will be ineffective. They will instead rely on passes and dribbles. Radunga stops Germany's next attack and Leo starts a counterattack. Successfully circulating the ball and advancing, Kaltz appears to stop the advance, but Natureza and Robecaro continue the play. Robecaro shots very close to the goal, but Muller blocks it. The rebound goes towards Santana, who performs a Rolling Overhead Shot. Muller successfully blocks the shot, but Pepe immediately heads the repelled ball with a diving header and scores. Moments later, Brance is substituted by Rivaul.47"Submarine vs Hedgehog" (サブマリンvsハリネズミ)Grand Jump #5 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (47)#2017-02-152017-02-01At the restart, Brazil steal the ball and passes it to Rivaul. Kaltz heavily marks Rivaul and appears to be able to keep up with Rivaul. Rivaul gets annoyed, awakening his "Killer Rivaul" face, and shoots point blank towards Kaltz' stomach and continues moving forward despite being booed by the stadium. Rivaul shoots outside the penalty area, which would be an easy catch for Muller, but the shot curves left to become a pass to Natureza. Muller reacts correctly but Natureza still manages to score by doing a loop shot over Muller.48"Full metal phantom" (幻の究極鋼弾)Grand Jump #6 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (48)#2017-03-012017-02-15Now 3-2 and with an injured Kaltz, Natureza ask Rivaul if he would like to come to Real Madrid, but Rivaul tells him that he'd rather stay in Barcelona and reminds Natureza to focus on the game that they are still losing. To try to stop Brazil flow, Germany substitutes Max and modifies the team formation to a defensive one. Santana is determined to score the next goal. Roberto reminiscences about Santana's and Natureza's training, when they developed a new technique for their combination play. Back in the game Rivaul passes the ball towards the duo and they perform the technique they developed by combining Ryoma Hino's Tornado Shot, Hyuga's Raiju Shot and Xiao Junguang's Reactive Fast Quick Gun to create their own technique: the Full Metal Phantom. Mueller tries to stop the shot but his left hand is smashed and the ball goes in, equalizing the match.49"German hot bloodedness" (ゲルマンの血潮)Grand Jump #7 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (49)#2017-03-152017-03-01After successfully catching up, Radunga gives the captain armband to Rivaul. The Japanese players are dumbfounded by the power of "Santanatureza". With his injured left hand, it appears Muller will have to leave the game, but Muller opposes it. Coach Schneider sends keeper coach Gunter to check on Muller. Gunter determines that he wont be able to catch the ball, but should still be able to punch it after applying a haphazard treatment. He instructs his disciple Muller to use only punches. Playing now with no left glove due to the heavy tapping, Muller's German spirit display motivates the rest of the team and they regain the psychological momentum. Kaltz retakes the ball and tries to payback Rivaul with the same play, but Rivaul, with his well trained abs, does an abs pass instead to Natureza and Santana.50"Rainbow in the Riazor" (リアソールの虹)Grand Jump #8 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (50)#2017-04-052017-03-15Santana and Natureza deceive the Germans and, instead of shooting, pass the ball to Rivaul who performs a powerful shot. Despite being aimed at his left side where he should use and perhaps injure his left hand, Muller stops Rivaul's shot with only his right hand and quickly makes a solo counterattack. Playing like a top notch field player, Muller evades Pepe and Radunga and does a long pass toward Schneider.51"Burning right leg" (燃える右脚)Grand Jump #9 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (51)#2017-04-192017-04-05The "rainbow long feed" provided by Muller approaches Schneider, who is marked by Casagrande and Alberto. Schneider jumps to reach the ball before the Brazilian defenders. In desperation and seeing that they are outside the penalty area, both defenders foul Schneider. Despite this, while still in the air and with only his right leg free, Schneider does a Compact Control Fire Shot and beats Salinas, putting Germany ahead once again and showing that he is currently the best world class ace striker. As Germany celebrates the goal, coach Schneider makes two substitutions to send Margus and Schester to the bench and the Schmidt brothers to the field.52"Matchless workmen" (双璧の仕事師)Grand Jump #10 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (52)#2017-05-032017-04-19The Schmidt brothers manage to stop Natureza and Santana with their pressure marking. Despite their best efforts, Natureza and Santana attempts to escape are fruitless. When the ball is in Rivaul's feet, he once again sends the ball towards the Brazilian duo, a message to them that they must do something about their markers. The Brazilian duo keeps on trying, but the Schmidt brothers turn out to be too much for them, so the ball is passed to Rivaul again. Rivaul goes forward, and the Schmidt brothers lose their marking for a little bit before Teigerbran goes to mark Rivaul. Rivaul gives the ball back to Natureza and Santana, who are preparing a Full Metal Phantom with the little space that they gained thanks to Rivaul.53"Brazilian golden trio" (ブラジル黄金トリオ)Grand Jump #11 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (53)#2017-05-172017-05-02A flashback is shown right after Natureza and Santana mastered the Full Metal Phantom. Rivaul compliments the duo and tells them that he will send them passes for that technique and reminds them they in the Olympics they will show that they are the Brazilian Golden Trio. Back in the match, as soon as the Full Metal Phantom is executed, Kaltz blocks it with his body, knocking back Kaltz with the ball. Rivaul tries to shot the ball near Kaltz' guts, but Teigerbran blocks the shot, sending the ball away. Germany have managed to stop Brazil's attack and the momentum is theirs. Seen that the Golden Trio has been stopped, Brazil's Silver Duo, Pepe and Leo, plan to do something.54"High-speed dribble & shot" (高速のドリブル&シュート)Grand Jump #12 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (54)#2017-06-072017-05-17Restarting with a throw-in, Casagrande appears to prepare to do a long center from the side, so Germany sends most men inside its penalty area, but he instead sends the ball near the corner towards Pepe and Leo. They are able to evade a couple of defenders and do a Twin Shot. With his left hand injured, Muller can't catch the moving ball, so he desperately manages to deflect the ball with his body, but the ball goes towards the center of the penalty area. Schneider, using his superior jumping power, beats all Brazilians and lands with the ball. Schneider evades all Brazilian tackles and conducts the ball alone toward Brazil's goal. Santana and Natureza desperately try to catch up as German goal would result in Brazil's sure defeat. As he prepares to shoot, the Brazilian do sliding tackles expecting to block Schneider, but Schenider beats them with his fast Running Fire Shot. Radunga, however, manages to jump in front of the ball with his face, allowing Salinas to catch the ball. Now bleeding due to his sacrifice, Radunga has to momentarily leave the pitch, Rivaul laughs at the desperate way in which Radunga played. This makes Radunga think that Rivaul intends to lose the game. Rivaul corrects him and tells him that he wants to win, but a goal won't come when playing impatiently. With 8 minutes of additional time, Rivaul is confident that it's plenty of time to score two goals.55"Joan's signal" (ジョアンのサイン)Grand Jump #13 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (55)#2017-06-212017-06-07In the final minutes, Germany contains Brazil. Rivaul does a middle shot that Muller repels with his injured hand. Radunga tells Rivaul that it should be the moment to use all their energy, which includes all defenders and the goalkeeper. With two minutes remaining, coach Aragones tells Salinas to get back to the goal as he expects a counter and gives a signal to the Brazilian players. The signal means to give the ball to their #10, Rivaul, so Robecaro sends the ball to him. Meanwhile Santana and Natureza do a play on the verge of foul to free Natureza. Rivaul quickly passes the ball to Natureza who is alone against Muller in a no angle position on the left side. Natureza does his 0° Shot, beating Muller and the ball is about to go in when Kaltz clears the ball on the line to avoid the goal.56"Devil's left leg" (悪魔の左脚)Grand Jump #14 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (56)#2017-07-052017-06-21Now that Rivaul's play has been defended, Salinas is instructed to go up for the final corner kick. Robecaro decides to use his Devil's left leg. Robecaro shoots directly to the goal from the corner kick. Muller barely manages to deflect the ball but is unable to due anything else due to the inertia of the play. Schneider and Rivaul clash in the air for the ball. Rivaul wins the clash. Rivaul successfully dribbles the German defenders. With no goalkeeper, it appears he is going to score, but is fouled by Aldovich, who is ejected from the game. The Germans understand that he had to do that. Rivaul ask who wants to take the penalty kick, but the Brazilians tell Rivaul to take it since he is the one that earned it.57"Right? Left?" (右か? 左か?)Grand Jump #15 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (57)#2017-07-192017-07-05Before the penalty kick, Muller removes the taping on his left hand in order to be able to extend his fingertips. Muller's master, Gunter praises Muller and assures him that he will be watching behind him to make sure to pick up Muller's fingers if needed. Rivaul and others note Tsubasa's presence in the stadium. Wakabayashi asks Tsubasa if he think that Rivaul will target Muller injured hand. Tsubasa thinks it's possible, but also thinks that there is the chance that he might miss the PK on purpose in order to face Japan in the next round. Muller, expecting Rivaul to target his left hand, dives toward his left, but Rival's shot goes the other way and equalizes the match. Rivaul did indeed want to face Tsubasa, but after being given the captain's armband, he couldn't waste his teammates efforts. Schneider immediately takes the ball and goes to the center of the field to try to go for victory in the very last seconds. Kaltz understand it and passes the ball to Schneider who performs a Fire Shot from the center circle.58"The end of the great battle" (大戦終結)Grand Jump #16 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (58)#2017-08-022017-07-19Rivaul quickly tries to repeal Schneider's Fire Shot with a Reactive Fast Quick Gun. Despite repealing the Fire Shot, Muller easily catches the ball with one hand and the referee whistles the end of the match. Since Schneider's Fire Shot was so fast, Rivaul wasn't able to to match the timing and wasn't able to repel 100% of the power so the reactive shot weakened. Rivaul's leg is also left numb. Gunter tells Muller to hurry up to go to a hospital to properly treat his injured hand if he wants to play the next match against Japan. Rivaul offers a handshake to Schneider, but the latter postpones it until the final. Schneider regrets that he lost his header clash with Rivaul as if he had won it Germany would've defeated Brazil. Tsubasa's knows that Germany is stronger than before but is confident that Japan will prevail. The classified teams are Spain and the USA in group A, France and Mexico in group B, Japan and Argentina in group C and Brazil and Germany in group D.59"Vow of fierce battle" (激戦の誓い)Grand Jump #21 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (59)#2017-10-182017-10-04In La Coruna, Ishizaki finds Tsubasa and Misaki training on the beach. The Golden Duo tells Ishizaki that they got inspired Santana's and Natureza's Full Metal Phantom to develop their own technique. Nitta also shows up on the beach as he is running to train. At the Melia Maria Pita Hotel, Hyuga checks the softball results and sees that Maki was badly defeated in her match against the USA, so he calls her to cheer her up. At an hospital in La Coruna, Muller and Kaltz chat about their conditions after receiving the Full Metal Phantom. Hyuga finishes his call with Maki when Sawada arrives. Hyuga then smacks Sawada when he jokingly ask if he was calling Maki. Ishizaki informs Tsubasa and Misaki that Kanda won his match. Ishizaki explains to Misaki who Kanda is since he didn't know about Tsubasa's love rival. As part of the conversation, they also chat about how Tsubasa is going to be a father soon and he tells them that he and Sanae are going to have twin boys. As they arrive at their hotel, they meet Muller and Kaltz. Inside, the rest of Japan and Germany notice that both teams share the same hotel. Tsubasa and Schneider chat about each of their sides winning the coming match.60"Mexico Aztec vs Spain" (メキシコ・アステカvsスペイン)Grand Jump #22 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (60)#2017-11-012017-10-18In the San Mames Stadium, Spain and Mexico will play the first match of the knockout phase. Both Germany and Japan will be watching the game from the lobby. Wakabayashi and Kaltz chat about how Spain is the overwhelming favorite. On the beach, Tsubasa and Misaki have completed their technique as Ishizaki arrives to tell them of the match that the rest of the team is watching. Back in the lobby, Japanese and Germans are astonished at what they have witnessed: Mexico is leading thanks to a goal of goalkeeper turned forward Espadas. After a few minutes more in the game, Espadas is able to score once again thanks to the help of Zaragoza and Suarez when they together use a similar technique to the Tachibana's Skylab Hurricane that they developed during their lucha libre training, beating Bleuno, Payol and Callusias with a high altitude header.61"Michael's prophecies" (ミカエルの預言)Grand Jump #23 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (61)#2017-11-152017-11-01Prior to the match, Michael prophesied the situation in which Spain found itself and that the team would lose due to their negligence. Back in the match, Payol fiercely tells Michael that they are going to play seriously and win. Meanwhile, Tsubasa and Misaki inform Ishizaki that they won'y watch the match in order to focus on the coming match against Germany and the completion of their new technique. Ishizaki is confident that they'll be able since Misaki and Tsubasa are the original Golden Duo that know each other since elementary school. They ask Ishizaki to help with the process. Back in the match, Spain is slowly gaining control, but Mexico substitutes its GK Gomez for FW Salas so that Espadas can return to be the GK. Michael sends a center into the area for Fersio Torres who heads the ball. Espadas, however, easily catches the ball.62"Surprise in San Mames" (予想外のサン・マメス)Grand Jump #24 (2017)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (62)#2017-12-062017-11-15Spain vs Mexico match continues. Michael takes the ball near his own goal and evades his markers with a fast Right Angle Feint. Michael then does a long pass to Rail, but Espadas predicts the play and intercepts the ball. As the first half ends some nuns from the Monserrat Abbey hold the portrait of bishop Juanito and a fan cheers him. When they return to the hotel, they are informed that, in the end, Spain defeated Mexico 6-2. Contrary to all previous matches, this time Michael ended up scoring all six goals, earning the moniker the "Devil of the Field". Schneider comments that Michael finally went all out and expects to face him once they defeat Japan. At night, in Bilbao and the rest of Spain all celebrate the appearance of the hero Michael. In the morning, a guy tries to buy a sports magazine, but finds out that all are sold out due to the frenzy caused by Michael's performance.64"Engine" (エンジン)Grand Jump #2 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (64)#2018-01-102017-12-20The supporters of Germany and Japan are cheering their teams as they arrive to the Riazor Stadium. Katagiri, Gamo and Mikami meet the Japanese team to congratulate it. In Germany's waiting room coach, Schneider his instructing his son about Germany's defensive formation in order to relieve the burden on the injured Muller and Kaltz as well as to compensate the absence of the suspended member. Karl is confident that even by himself he will score against Wakabayashi. The reason is that he made a wager with Wakabayashi that if Germany defeats Japan, Wakabayashi will join Bayern Munich and if Germany loses, Schneider will have to dance PPAP while naked. Both teams get ready for the match in their locker rooms.65"Opening play" (オープニングプレイ)Grand Jump #3 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (65)#2018-01-172018-01-04The match between Germany and Japan is finally starting. For Germany, the Schmidt brothers will start and the formation will focus on defense, while Japan will use Soga as a starter instead of Jito and Misugi will play on the right side, as well as playing with Wakashimazu instead of Nitta. Germany starts the game and Schneider immediately goes to the attack. Tsubasa apparently stops him, but Schester gains the ball while Schneider avoid the ball and runs to receive the ball unmarked. Instead of sending a center, Misugi crosses the ball to the other side with Soda. Soada sends a Razor Cross. Wakashimazu heads the ball back towards Hyuga, who clashes head-to-head with Teigerbran. His family is watching the match in Japan and Sanae recalls when in her school days Tsubasa always practiced hard to master the shot, in particular a Christmas day when he finally could do a Drive Shot, the same day that he brought her back home for the first time. Back in the game, the ball goes towards Mueller injured side. Despite this, Muller punches the ball away with his injured hand without issues.68"Coach Kira's objective" (吉良監督の狙い)Grand Jump #6 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (68)#2018-03-072018-02-21Tsubasa takes the corner kick and everyone is wondering if he'll try a Flying Drive Shot towards Muller's left hand again. In Valencia, Roberto, Santana and Natureza are wondering about Japan's match, but they have to concentrate on their match against Argentina. Tsubasa does a Flying Drive Pass to Matsuyama, who immediately performs and Eagle Shot. Muller manages to barely catch the ball with his right hand so there is no rebound. Despite this apparent setback, coach Kira actually instructed Japan to shot long distance in order to avoid a counter. Soda does his Razor Shot and then Misugi a Drive Shot. With this, despite Muller stopping all shots, the ball doesn't circulate to Germany, so they are forced to break their formation, which leaves spaces to Japan to do cooperation play.69"Game intuition" (勝負勘)Grand Jump #7 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (69)#2018-03-212018-03-07In the Japan's bench, Nitta is annoyed about not being a starter. Ishizaki points to him that he is not paying attention to the game and doesn't notice that Germany has changed its formation and he will have his chance and must be prepared for this. In the field, Japan circulates the ball until it ends with Misugi. Prior to the match, Ishizaki instructed Misugi and Soda to feed high centers towards the Golden Duo. Misugi evades Max and sends a center. Kaltz' intuition warns him of an impeding danger if they get the ball so he marks them. Seeing this, Misaki and Tsubasa allow the ball to go over them. Wakashimazu picks it and passes it to Hyuga, who is unmarked. Hyuga then performs a Raiju Shot.70"Mutual defense" (守り合い)Grand Jump #8 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (70)#2018-04-042018-03-20Mueller is able to stop Hyuga's shot by punching it with an uppercut, but his injured hand still feels the power of the shot. As Misaki gets ready to take the corner kick, Kaltz speaks with the Schmidt brothers and asks them to act as the link between defense and offense in his place since Germany is losing the tactical battle. When Misaki sends a center, Wakashimazu battles with Teigerbran in the air for the ball, but Kaltz intercedes and sends the ball away despite resenting his injury in the fall. Soda appears to take the ball from a Schmidt brother, but the other takes it back and sends a long pass to Schneider. Schneider blows away Aoi with a Straight Line Dribble and combines with Schester to avoid Matsuyama and Misugi. But Wakabayashi goes outside the area and heads the ball away before Schneider can receive it.71"South American training" (南米仕込み)Grand Jump #9 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (71)#2018-04-182018-04-04Both teams have successfully defended against each other offense. When Japan starts a new attack, Kaltz, who Tsubasa has identified as the key man for the match, notice Japan's sluggishness and sends Germany's defense up, stealing the ball. Schester, seeing Schneider marked, sends the ball towards Margus, Soga easily stops Margus' header despite the height difference thanks to his South American training. Igawa tackles the ball before Schester can pick it up. With this strong and tall South American Combination to oppose the Germans, it's understood why Jito didn't start and why Takasugi didn't make the cut. The ball is passed to Tsubasa, who also displays his South American skills and evades several defenders. Then Misaki and Tsubasa do a Twin Shot that is blocked by Kaltz. But the power is such that Kaltz is being sent towards the goal.72"Midfield supremacy" (中盤の支配権)Grand Jump #10 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (72)#2018-05-022018-04-18Muller tackles Kaltz with his shoulder to stop him. Hyuga, however, defeats Muller and scores, but the referee whistles because he judges the play as a foul by Hyuga. In the stands, Michael is delighted watching the match. Japan is dominating the game thanks to their control of the midfield. Aoi recovers the ball and tries to send a pass to Tsubasa, but the pass is blocked. Misugi takes the ball back and clashes with the Schmidt brothers for possession. Tsubasa joins the clash and manages to sends the ball to Misaki. With the ball in the air, Schneider goes for an Overhead Fire, but Wakabayashi blocks the ball before Schneider can execute it.74"Half-time" (ハーフタイム)Grand Jump #12 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (74)#2018-06-062018-05-16After Wakabayashi successfully defends Germany's last play, the referee whistles the end of the first half. While Japan controlled the pace, Germany managed to avoid conceding a goal as expected from his defensive formation. Michael is interviewed and draws a lot of attention in the stands, so he is taken away to an special seat. In the locker room, Kaltz suggest to Schneider to try outsmarting Wakabayashi with a Non Fire Shot since Wakabayashi knows him very well and is expecting his fast shots. In Japan's locker room, Soga gets checked for a minor injury in his ankle that will not impede him to play. Meanwhile, Michael is taken to a VIP box where Katagiri, Gamo and Mikami are eating, so Katagiri takes the chance to chat with Michael. The three Japanese men comment about the qualities of Michael. Both teams return to the field and the Japanese notice that Germany's formation has changed.75"Coach Schneider's tactic" (シュナイダー監督の作戦)Grand Jump #13 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (75)#2018-06-202018-06-06Germany is now playing with no visible top in order to stop Japan's midfield. This formation manages to stop Japan's style of play as was used during the first half. Wakabayashi points out to Soga and Igawa that in this situation there is only one thing to do. Igawa then passes the ball to Tsubasa. Tsubasa starts to combine with Misaki, but Margus stops Misaki with a tackle that verges on a foul. Misugi catches the ball and prepares to combine with Tsubasa, but Schneider tackles him. Tsubasa retakes the ball and passes it to Aoi. German defenders are still closely marking the midfielders, which forces Aoi to try to pass to Matsuyama. The pass is intercepted and is going to be a play with three Germans in offense against two Japanese on defense.76"Penalty area" (ペナルティエリア)Grand Jump #14 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (76)#2018-07-042018-06-20Igawa feints going for Schester which forces him to pass to Schneider. Igawa then tries to tackle Schneider, but the latter lets the ball pass toward Margus and evades the tackle. Now is three against one. Soga desperately tries to take the ball back from Schneider, but Schneider manages to keep the ball. However, Soga won enough time for Soda to come back and try to block Schneider's Fire Shot. Soda is unsuccessful. Nonetheless, Wakabayashi is able to send the ball away despite Schneider being barely inside the penalty area. Due to the previous play, Soga re-injures his ankle, this time more seriously so he has to leave the pitch. With one player short, Kaltz tells Maier and Teiger to go to the front for the corner. This also forces Wakashimazu and Hyuga to go to their area to defend. All Japan is defending inside its area.77"Once in a lifetime..." (一世一代の…)Grand Jump #15 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (77)#2018-07-182018-07-04Schester takes the corner and sends a high center. Wakabayashi wins the ball over two Germans. Meanwhile, the staff tells coach Kira that Soga won't be able to continue. Instead of sending Jito, he decides to send Ishizaki to move Misugi back as a centre-back to avoid stressing Misugi's physical condition. Not long after, Ishizaki enters the field and relays the instructions given by coach Kira. He also tells the Golden Duo to get ready for his center. At the restart, Tsubasa passes the ball to Soda who returns it. Surprising Germany, Tsubasa sends the ball towards the left side of Germany, where Ishizaki receives it and starts running towards the front. When Max confronts him, instead of passing the ball, Ishizaki pushes forward as he recalls Tsubasa's heel lift when he was in elementary school and how Ishizaki practiced incessantly to be able to do it at least once in a lifetime. Back in the game, Ishizaki surprises allies and foes by performing a heel lift.78"Miracle of Riazor" (リアソールの奇跡)Grand Jump #16 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (78)#2018-08-012018-07-18Despite catching the ball with his face, Ishizaki succesfully performs his heel lift and goes inside the penalty area. While it appears that Ishizaki is going to shoot, he passes the ball, but instead of a short center towards the penalty area where Wakashimazu and Hyuga are waiting while Kaltz and Schweilteiger are ready to defend, he sends the ball back and high to Tsubasa and Misaki, who are ready to perform their new combination technique inspired by Natureza's and Santanza's Full Metal Phantom: the High Speed Tornado Sky Alpha. Everyone is surprised by what they see. Muller wasn't even able to move against the fast and powerful shot. Tsubasa and Misaki put Japan in the lead 1-0.79"Serious Germany" (本気のドイツ)Grand Jump #21 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (79)#2018-10-172018-10-03While Japan is celebrating, Germany is stupefied. Japan supporters are ecstatic by the play done by Nankatsu's Trio. Kaltz spits his toothpick, meaning he will play seriously from now on. At the restart, Kaltz now plays as the playmaker and Germany has changed to an offensive formation. Since Kaltz isn't in top physical form, he is forced to pass the ball when Tsubasa and Misaki confront him. Margus then wins the ball in the air and heads it towards Schneider. Schneider tries an Overhead Fire Fired Shot, but Misugi, now playing as a center-back, blocks it with an overhead as well. Wakabayashi then picks up the ball in the air, ending Germany's threat.80"Wakabayashi's pride" (若林の矜持)Grand Jump #22 (2018)Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun (2014) (80)#2018-11-072018-10-17Wakabayashi sends the ball to Soda, who advances with the help of Aoi. The Schmidts successfully take the ball away from Soda and pass it to Kaltz. As Wakabayashi accurately instructs the defense, Mikami recalls his time training Wakabayashi and their relationship, closer to that of a father and child than a coach and student. In order to not stagnate Wakabayashi's growth as a player, Mikami decides to leave Wakabayashi's alone in Germany and two years later he marveled at how much Wakabayashi had grown. In the stands, the Draxler family, who were the homestay hosts of Wakabayashi, are also prod of him. Wakabayashi is proud of the skills he learned in Germany. Kaltz then manages to evade Misaki and Tsubasa with his Hedgehog Dribble. Kaltz passes the ball to Schneider, but Wakabayashi, knowing Kaltz and Schneider since they were kids, is able to foresee their plays and successfully takes the ball before Schneider can do anything. With Germany trying to tie the game, Wakashimazu and Hyuga - the Meiwa Toho combi - are planning to take advantage of that.81"Strong defense swift attack" (堅守速攻)Grand Jump #23 (2018)

As Wakabayashi catches Germany's swift attack, in a counterattack, the Meiwa Toho duo attempts to score, surpassing all defenders and Magath tries to block Hyuga but he uses all his might to surpass his tackle with the Straight Line Dribble and succeeds.

82"The best chance" (絶好のチャンス)Grand Jump #24 (2018)Now, the Meiwa Toho duo battles Muller who comes out of the goal to erase all shooting courses but Hyuga does a heel pass to Wakashimazu and a desperate tackle from Teigerbran comes and suceeds in making Ken do a deviated bullet shot over the goal bar. But the Referee whistles and determines a PK! Ken has to be benched due to this. Hyuga's strong shot blows away the keeper's leg and scores! 25 minutes in the 2nd half-time, Japan now surpasses Germany by 2-0. Coach Schneider rapidly does two changes, with Hain and Goethe entering the field. There's a small cameo of FORMER U-21 European teams impressed by Japan's strength. Nitta replaces Wakashimazu as forward and Germany starts a new swift offensive.84"Obstinacy vs persistence" (意地vs執念)85"Obstinacy vs persistence 2" (意地vs執念②)86"Muller's roar" (ミューラーの咆哮)87"Because of furiousness" (激しさがゆえに・・・)88"Emergency" (緊急事態)89"Fierce attack" (猛攻)90"Momentum" (勢い)91"Critical offense and defense" (瀬戸際の攻防)92"Trick play" (トリックプレイ)93"No matter what" (どんなことをしても)94"Predicament" (窮地)95"2nd round of fortitude" (不屈の2発)
